1. Quick wins (no visual loss)
Start here. Each one adds a little, but together they give +43% free FPS.
Volume Rendering
Controls the volumetric density of fog, clouds, and smoke in zones like the Ancient Forest or the Rotten Vale. It's the single heaviest setting in the game and its cost doesn't match the visual improvement it brings.
Shadow Quality
Dynamic shadows on monsters and vegetation carry a high cost relative to the visual difference between Low and High, especially outdoors with dense foliage.
Vertical Sync
The game's internal V-Sync introduces input lag and caps framerate to the monitor's refresh rate, especially penalizing players with high-refresh monitors.
Screen Mode
