
How to improve FPS in V Rising (PC)
V Rising combines vampire survival with castle building and real-time PvP, all under the Unity engine with a fixed isometric camera. Although its art style doesn't demand a high-end GPU, the real bottleneck shows up when your castle (or your neighbors') accumulates hundreds of furniture pieces, traps, and decorations that the engine must constantly simulate and render. On top of that comes the load from heavily populated PvP servers, where dozens of players and castles share the same world region. The result is a game where performance depends as much on your hardware as on how densely other people build, something no graphics setting can fully compensate for. 1. Quick wins (no visual loss)

Shadow Quality
Dynamic shadows in Unity are one of the biggest performance drains in V Rising, especially inside castles with many light sources and shadow-casting furniture. Dropping to Low drastically reduces GPU load without affecting combat readability, since the isometric camera makes shadow detail barely noticeable.
Vegetation Density
Forests and outdoor zones on the map are packed with instanced vegetation the engine must process every frame, especially when moving through areas like Farbane Woods or Silverlight Hills. Reducing vegetation density frees up GPU without eliminating the atmosphere, just reducing it in distant decorative objects.
V-Sync
V-Sync introduces unnecessary input lag in a reactive combat game like V Rising, and caps your FPS at monitor refresh even when your hardware could give more. Disabling it, especially if you use a G-Sync or FreeSync monitor, improves both smoothness and control responsiveness.

View Distance
A high view distance forces the engine to render very distant castles, vegetation, and NPCs that are rarely relevant in isometric gameplay. Reducing it to Medium focuses performance on what really matters: your immediate combat and building environment.
Ambient Occlusion
AO adds subtle contact shading between objects and surfaces, but inside castles packed with furniture it becomes a constant calculation that's barely visible from the standard camera distance. Disabling it is an easy gain with no relevant aesthetic sacrifice.
Particle Quality
